Greetings from BeijingIn the Spring of 2011, I had the opportunity to visit Beijing on business. On a visit to the Summer Palace, an excited family asked if they could take my picture. I guess I stood out as an American in a very crowded Chinese tourist attraction! In turn, I asked if I could take their picture as well. Although both parties were far from mastering each others' language, holding up one's camera and mimicking pressing the shutter button appears to be part of a universal language.
